Ontario warmer than L.A. on Friday as weather system flips the script
Parts of Ontario are forecast to be warmer than much of California, including Los Angeles, on Friday!
After a shot of cold air and snow in Ontario on Tuesday and Wednesday, you won't need to travel too far to warm back up. Temperatures are set to rise across southern Ontario on Friday as a strong warm front sweeps across the province, raising temperatures into the 20s throughout the southwest.
Conversely, at the same time, a sharp cold front from the same system that is warming up Ontario is set to spread cooler air across the Western United States. In fact, temperatures in Los Angeles are forecast to dip into the high teens, which means southwestern Ontario could be warmer than L.A. by the end of the week!

Temperatures in Windsor, Sarnia, and London are forecast to rise into the 20s on Friday, with Windsor having the chance to see a high of 25°C. This is also London's first shot at seeing a 20°C day in 2025.
Folks across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will also be feeling an above-seasonal warm-up on Friday after the mid-week chill, but it won't be as drastic. Temperatures are forecast to reach up to 15°C—a respectable amount of warmth that will still get people shrugging off their jackets and spending time outdoors.

Sadly, the burst of warmth isn't fated to last as the cold front responsible for cooling off L.A. reaches the province and brings in a rainy system later Friday. Folks in the south could also hear some rumbles of thunder in the afternoon as the earlier warmth generates some instability in the atmosphere.
