April to leave Canada with weather disparity on its way out
With a week left in the month of April, what can Canadians expect to close out the month? It won't be a one-size-fits-all forecast, though, with favourable temperatures for some and unpleasant conditions for others
April is finally coming to a close, and for many Canadians, it couldn't be a more joyous time after the month brought some impactful weather.
But that doesn't mean April won't have a trick or two up its sleeve for its final week. It depends on where you live in the country.

It will be, essentially, a battle of the West versus the East. Who will have the better forecast? Read on for the details.
B.C.
The trend for the last week of April will be to continue the dry pattern that has been ongoing through the month.
There will be a chance for some rain to push in for the last couple days of the month, but it will be short-lived.
Temperatures will be well above normal into the weekend, but temperatures will cool slightly for the last day of the month.

Prairies
The Prairies will see a very similar trend to B.C.
Mild temperatures are expected through the start of the weekend, with the first 20-degree reading of the year possible for Edmonton and Calgary, Alta.
A weak system, however, will bring scattered showers to the Prairies Sunday in the western sections, and Monday in the eastern part of the region.
Ontario and Quebec
It won't be a good start to the weekend in Central Canada.

Showers and thunderstorms are the story through the beginning of the weekend as a system moves through.
Then, another system moves in for the final two days of the month, with heavier precipitation in the northern sections of both provinces than the south.
Temperatures will be fluctuating throughout––from just cracking the double-digit mark to rising into the low 20s. So, it will be a bit of an active end to the month of April.

Atlantic Canada
Similar to Ontario and Quebec, unsettled conditions continue for the Maritimes and Newfoundland.
Unfortunately, a low-pressure system will bring copious amounts of moisture––tracking through for the weekend and Monday.
There’s a brief break from the rain, however, but then another system comes into the region, ending the month wet and starting May off unsettled, as well.

Conclusion
Although there is some light rain in the West, temperatures are a bit more consistently mild, so this will be a more favourable forecast. The East, on the other hand, will see a bit more unsettled weather with an active storm track.
