The twisters came amid a round of severe thunderstorms that hit parts of southern Quebec on Thursday, also producing strong winds and large hail.

Quebec has now had three confirmed tornadoes so far in 2025. Its first event was an EF-1 twister that struck the community of Saint-Zénon in April––marking the province's first tornado in April since 1996.
