Small wildfire in Nova Scotia's Colchester County under control
Nova Scotia's Department of Natural Resources says a wildfire in Colchester County is now under control.
The wildfire is located near Manganese Mines, off Old Pictou Road, about 15 kilometres from Truro, N.S. The estimated size is three hectares, the province told CBC News.
Five firefighters from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) are on the scene working alongside the Valley-Kemptown fire department.

A DNR helicopter was dropping water on the fire, but has since returned to aid in the search efforts to find two missing children in Pictou County. In a statement, DNR said the Valley-Kemptown department issued an evacuation notice for some homes in the area Tuesday afternoon out of an "abundance of caution."
The evacuation order has since been rescinded.
