Active weather kicked off the week across the Maritimes, with heavy snow and strong winds hitting all four provinces in Atlantic Canada between Monday and Tuesday.

Ferry delays, school cancellations, power outages, and widespread delays have been reported.

Conditions are expected to ease through Tuesday, but blowing snow could continue to make travel difficult, especially in parts of Newfoundland.
