On Monday morning, a system from the Prairies brought localized snow to the Great Lakes region, causing delays and traffic pile-ups, especially in communities from Kingston to Cobourg, west towards Oshawa, and Prince Edward County.

School buses were cancelled in several regions, including some buses in Dufferin-Peel, Niagara, and Simcoe County. In the Bluewater and Bruce-Grey municipalities, there are school closures.

Several delays were reported at Toronto Pearson Airport.

Snow squalls moved through the region on the early afternoon, creating short bursts of heavy, localized snow.

Ontario can expect another round of snow Wednesday followed by a chilly weekend.
