Toronto to go dark again as it nears final 5 p.m. sunset until 2026
Toronto is headed into the dark days of winter, so that means bidding adieu to the 5 p.m. sunsets
As if the time change wasn't already enough to adjust to, but Toronto now heads for the long, dark days of winter, with afternoon sunsets upon us.
After Friday, Nov. 7, the 5 p.m. sunsets in 2025 are over. It won't be until Jan. 10, 2026 that we see the sun set after 5 p.m. again.

A time of 4:40 pm will be the earliest sunset for Toronto, happening from Dec.4-13. If we stop turning back the clocks, we would never have to deal with sunsets before 5:40 p.m.
DON'T MISS: Solar winter is here, and for some people, that can be depressing
"Sunrise and set times will keep dropping until we reach the darkest day, the winter solstice on Dec. 21," says Rachel Modestino, a meteorologist at The Weather Network.
