Friday’s rain will clear out for a gorgeous Saturday

We’ll see bouts of precipitation across southern and eastern Ontario through Friday as a front slides over the region.

Ontario precipitation forecast Friday 10am

Folks north of the 401 will see rain during the morning hours, which will push into the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) by Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, precipitation will fall as wet snow in Algonquin and cottage country, while the Ottawa region endures a rain/snow mix.

The front and clouds will move along their merry way to kick off the weekend. Saturday is the day for you if you’re craving sunshine and seasonal temperatures around 10°C in the GTA.

Warmer air possible, but with more unsettled conditions

You might be in luck if you’re hoping for even warmer temperatures, perhaps climbing as high as 20°C in the GTA. But…it’ll come with a catch.

Toronto temperature trend

Another system moving into the Great Lakes region will slide a warm front across southern Ontario on Sunday afternoon, bringing along the chance for showers.

Temperatures will warm up into Monday, with 20s for highs in the southwest while Toronto, Hamilton, and Niagara approach 19-20°C.

The low-pressure system’s cold front, as well as a second system’s warm front, will offer additional opportunities for showers Monday and Tuesday.

You’ll certainly have windows to enjoy the milder spring weather if your plans are flexible and you can dodge the incoming unsettled conditions.
