So far, spring has not been able to deliver back-to-back sunny days during the weekend, but that is about to change, and with perfect timing for Mother's Day.

Abundant sunshine kicks off the weekend on Friday
We will kick off the weekend with abundant sunshine across most of southern Ontario on Friday. However, despite the sunshine, temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than seasonal.
More clouds will mix with the sunshine across eastern Ontario, along with a threat for showers, especially east of Kingston, and temperatures will be a few degrees cooler.

Friday night will be mostly clear and chilly with frost for many rural areas.

Gorgeous spring weather splashes through on Saturday
Saturday will be a gorgeous day -- mostly sunny, breezy and warmer. After a chilly start to the day, most of southern Ontario will reach the upper teens to near 20°C during the afternoon.

A cool front will track across the region late in the day, so that will give us a low risk for a brief shower late in the day, but most of southern Ontario will stay dry.
Conditions get even nicer for Mother's Day on Sunday
Sunday will be a spectacular spring day. While temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than seasonal, it will still be a pleasant day to be outside with full sunshine and light wind.

Is the warmer weather finally here to stay?
Abundant sunshine will continue into early next week, along with a warming trend. High temperatures on Monday will climb into the upper teens to lower 20s.
