Wind warnings in effect for parts of Alberta with gusts reaching up to 90 km/h
Strong winds are sweeping across Alberta, with the south seeing the most significant gusts on Monday.
Widespread winds of 20-40 km/h are expected across the province, while the foothills and southern areas may experience stronger westerly winds of 60 km/h, gusting up to 90 km/h. Wind warnings are in effect.

Motorists, especially those driving high-sided vehicles, are urged to exercise caution due to possible flying debris.
Residents in affected areas should also secure loose objects to prevent hazards. Power outages are a concern.

The winds are downsloping, bringing a warming effect as the air descends.
This will result in well-above-seasonal high temperatures, reaching the teens for many areas in central and southern Alberta, and nearing 20°C in some parts of the extreme south.

However, this warmth will be brief. Temperatures are expected to cool to seasonal levels by Tuesday and Wednesday as conditions stabilize. Winds will ease later Monday, providing some relief across the province.
