Soar between provinces: What to know about the first interprovincial zip line
For the first time ever, soar over the Ottawa River and enjoy stunning views of Parliament Hill between provinces
The Interzip experience offers a unique adventure: soaring 36 metres in the air while crossing from Québec to Ontario along the world’s first interprovincial zip line.
The journey begins in Gatineau, Québec, where participants gear up before taking a short, scenic walk across the river to Ottawa, Ontario. From there, a safety briefing and a climb up a 36-metre tower bring visitors to the starting platform.
Once strapped in, riders launch themselves back toward Québec, completing the thrilling 366-metre-long ride at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

The experience runs from spring through fall and remains operational in most weather conditions, though thunderstorms and nearby lightning can prompt temporary closures. Each season offers its own unique sights—from rushing spring waters to vibrant autumn foliage.
Along the way, participants not only enjoy stunning aerial views of downtown Ottawa and Gatineau, but also a symbolic bridge between Canada’s English- and French-speaking communities.
"Supporting what makes Canada incredible has never been more important. It’s amazing to see something that connects two provinces in such a unique way," says Brenna Galliardi, Operations Manager at Interzip.
The Interzip showcases Canadian culture and geography in a thrilling way, making it a must-visit destination for locals and travellers alike.
