10-foot towers of snow: Journey through these famous Canadian giants
Summer looks different at 1800 metres high
While we may be starting to see signs of summer in the valley, the beginning of summer looks a bit different 1,800 meters up.
Welcome to the unique Snow Walls trail on Whistler Mountain.

Each year, as the ski season winds down, machines come to prepare the trails for the upcoming season by carving a path through the packed alpine snowpack. Here, you don’t just observe the weather; you can actually feel the immense weight of an entire Canadian winter.
The Weather Network had the opportunity to explore the Snow Walls during this year's Nourished Festival in Whistler, British Columbia. The goal was not merely to take a picture with these impressive 10-foot walls, but to experience the awe of the alpine environment. Watch the video above to learn more.
