Spring is the perfect time to spot whales in the Salish Sea

Did you know spring is the perfect time to try and spot whales in the Salish Sea?

Early spring is the peak for the grey whale migration, as they hug the shoreline looking for food. Later in the season, the humpbacks come to feed here on their way to Alaska.

And then there are the killer whales. The bigs are usually travelling in pods closer to shore this time of year, on the hunt for bigger marine mammals like sea lions, who also return in the spring thanks to food like herring and sardines.
