Discovering what truly makes Quebec a gem

Travel with The Weather Network's Nathan Coleman as he ventures beyond the familiar themes of maple syrup, hockey, and poutine to discover and celebrate the La Belle Province of Quebec. He explores the internationally recognized hotspot for six species of whales at the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park. Nathan encounters these magnificent mammals, seals, and marine birds, then ventures upriver to kayak through the heart of the Saguenay fjord, where towering cliffs frame the waters.

Breaking a sweat, he hikes the trails of Saguenay Fjord National Park to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the river before winding down at the Distillerie du Fjord. Here, the Bouchard family’s passion for gin captures the flavours of the surrounding boreal forest through its sustainably handpicked botanicals.

Nathan concludes his Quebec adventure in Lac-Saint-Jean, discovering what makes Quebec a gem, learning about quartz crystals, and digging for these buried crystal treasures.

Come back on Sunday, April 27th for the full episode.
