It’s time to pick out that perfect pumpkin to sit on your porch, but after a dry summer, are there any orange flags you should look out for?
Danny Dill’s family has been growing pumpkins for generations. He says this year’s crops are only about half of their normal size due to drought conditions.
If you want a pumpkin that’s going to endure through the unusual warmth, the first thing to check for is a good, solid stem.
“I’d go with the ones that are more green in colour," said Dill.
