Special Weather Statement

Issued at Sun 4:28 PM Jun. 21
Issued by: Environment and Climate Change Canada
Description

Heavy rainfall possible Monday night through Tuesday.

Showers and thunderstorms will spread from Saskatchewan into Manitoba on Monday night, intensifying as they move east. It is likely that many of these heavier showers slow down or stall over some portion of southwest Manitoba heading into Tuesday, resulting in higher precipitation amounts.

10 to 20 mm of rain is likely across many portions of southern Manitoba during this period: Parkland, southwest, Red River Valley, and the Whiteshell. Bands of rainfall accumulations of 30 to 80 mm may be possible in portions of southwest and/or south-central Manitoba.
